1st Graders' Learning about Phase Change

This Friday, our 1st grade class students enjoyed a fantastic learning adventure at the Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo, where they participated in a wonderful class called Phase Changes. The lesson tied in beautifully with our current exploration of the three states of matter—solids, liquids, and gases. Through hands-on, engaging experiments, the children discovered how water can change between all three states under certain conditions, especially when temperature changes.

The day was just as delightful as the learning itself. With bright sunshine and clear skies, the children walked together happily, singing songs along the way. We also shared a picnic outdoors in the warm sunlight—a relaxed, joyful moment that made the day even more special for our students.
