At the beginning of the semester, the students in the Grizzly Bear, Hawk, Koi, and Flying Dragon Classes formed individual class charters. Each class discussed how they wanted to feel and be treated in their classroom community and came up with a list of rules and expectations to make sure that everybody could feel welcomed in the community. Throughout the semester, students had the opportunity to earn Cornerstone money by upholding their class charters. Their hard work culminated in a Cornerstone Charter Celebration, which took place on February 24. During the celebration, students used their hard-earned Cornerstone money to purchased used goods from other students and brought in their own used goods to sell to other students. Some of the other students also earned extra Cornerstone money by showcasing their talents and earing tips from supporters. We encourage all of our students to keep up the good work and continue treating their peers with respect and open-mindedness!
