Cornerstone Students Celebrate Chinese New Year with Vibrant Performance at Palo Alto Community Center

This past Sunday, January 25, the Palo Alto Community Center was filled with festive energy as our 2nd through 5th-grade full-day students returned to the stage for the community’s Chinese New Year celebration. It was a proud moment for our school as our young performers shared their talents and cultural heritage with the local Palo Alto community.

Starting at 3 p.m., our students took the stage to dazzle the audience with energetic dance performances and clever magic shows. The program reached a graceful peak when the students performed a group poetry recital, honoring the works of the legendary Tao Yuanming. Through their expressive recitation, they transformed ancient verses into a living experience, reflecting both their command of the language and a genuine connection to China’s literary heritage.

Being invited back to perform at such a prominent community hub is a testament to the dedication of our students and staff. This event provided a wonderful platform for our children to build confidence and engage in meaningful cultural exchange. We are incredibly proud of our students for representing our school with such grace, talent, and festive cheer.
