Today is a very exciting day for the Hippo and Lamb Class, our Full Day K and Preschool classes. Hippo class students have been learning about Chinese New Year and they discussed how they could celebrate with the younger students and what activities they could design to engage them. They decided to host different booths to celebrate the New Year together. The students prepared props,
practiced conducting their activities. This morning, they worked hard to set up their booths and practice one more time before welcoming the younger students in the Little Lamb Class. The students put their best efforts into patiently and clearly articulating when teaching the younger students to cook tang yuan, color and decorate paper tang yuan, and learn different gestures to remember the twelve animals of the Chinese Zodiac. At the end of the activities, each student in the Hippo Class stepped forward to give advice to the younger students.
We’re so proud to see the Hippo Class stepping into leadership roles to help teach our younger students! What a fun celebration! Please enjoy some photos taken from the festivities!
Happy Year of the Tiger!
