As part of their social science theme about community and good citizenship, the Hippo Class went to visit Palo Alto City Hall on February 15 to learn about real life community leaders. During the trip, the students go to explore many different departments in City Hall, including the City Council Meeting Room, Fire Department, and Police Department. What a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about the importance of collaboration and open communication, as the people working in different departments all need to work together every day to make sure they can help the citizens of Palo Alto. This was truly such a satisfying and enriching experience for our students!
