5th Graders Field Trip to Chabot Space & Science Center

The students in the Flying Dragon Class went to visit the Chabot Space & Science Center on Wednesday, September 21, to learn more about space and the solar system. The students participated in a variety of hands-on activities to learn more about this topic on this field trip. The students engaged in an experiment using liquids to learn about the air density of Earth, attended a planetarium show about how the stars contributed to the Mayan people’s cultural practices and beliefs, attended a live science show to observe and learn about a rocket launch and stimulated their own rocket launch. What an enriching experience for our fifth graders!
