Fifth graders from the Flying Dragon Class embarked on an exciting field trip to the Palo Alto Junior Museum on Friday, August 30, diving deep into the intriguing question, “What causes the seasons?” Building on their classroom lessons about Earth’s rotation and the day-night cycle, the students got a hands-on learning experience during their visit. In pairs, they conducted experiments to investigate how Earth's rotation and orbit around the sun lead to seasonal changes. This interactive field trip offered a meaningful opportunity for the students to apply their knowledge, sparking even greater curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject as they continue their studies.
