After kicking off the new school year by studying the fascinating topic of geology, the third graders in the Hawk Class concluded their geology unit with their first performance of the school year on Friday, October 8. In preparation for their performance, each student devoted their efforts into fully comprehending the taught concepts and working collaboratively to create an engaging presentation. On the afternoon of their performance, the Hawk Class students boldly took to their stage, teaching their audience about various topics including different types of rocks and their formation processes, Earth’s structure and three types of plate boundaries, how to protect ourselves from mudslides and earthquakes, and the process of rock weathering. Each student felt an immense sense of pride in their individual contributions and left the stage beaming with confidence, knowing they had successfully shared their knowledge and hard work with an enthusiastic audience.
