The Student Council hosted their first event, a bake sale at Rinconada Park, on Thursday, January 27. The purpose of this event was to raise money for the Student Council to fund future activities. The students worked hard for months to carefully plan and organize this event and, through the planning process, learned some valuable lifelong skills. They were asked to consider important factors, including how to attract people to purchase their baked goods, how they should price their baked goods, and how they could best communicate their mission with people outside of the Cornerstone community, in preparing for this event. Through their hard work, and the support of our families, the Student Council earned $215 in cash to use for future Student Council events. It was so exciting to see students across the second, third, fourth, and fifth grade classes challenge themselves to execute this ambitious event in order to better our school! We are so appreciative of all of the support from our community members in helping our students bring their vision to life!
