On November 7th, the kindergarteners enjoyed perfect weather for their field trip to Rancho San Antonio County Park. During their visit, students spotted wild turkeys and deer, collected a variety of seeds, and classified them by size, shape, and other characteristics. Despite the long walk, the children’s spirits remained high—hands were held, songs were sung, and encouragement was shared every step of the way, showcasing their cooperation and resilience.
Back in the classroom, students extended their learning through a seed experiment. They planted and cared for a variety of seeds—such as date palms, chestnuts, and acorns—while observing and recording their growth. Each day, the young scientists monitored soil conditions, provided sunlight and water, and measured their plants’ progress with care and excitement.
The kindergarteners’ curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring the natural world have been truly inspiring. We can’t wait to see the results of their seed-growing experiment!
