The Koi Class visited the Palo Alto Children’s Museum on Wednesday, October 19. The students have been learning about the human body in social science class and this field trip was a wonderful opportunity for the students to gain first-hand knowledge. The students learned about the structure of the eyeball and compared the structure of a human eyeball versus a cow eyeball. Students worked in group to dissect a cow’s eyeball. Although the students were initially shocked and disgusted, they were able to quickly get over their initial discomfort and focus on learning the science. We are so proud of the way our students were able to conduct themselves and it was clear that this was such a valuable learning experience for them!
